The first question that most people ask: “What the heck is a day party?!?” Good question.
The typical “going out” itinerary looks like this:
9:30pm | Meet up with friends for the “pre-party” (read: drinks)
11:30 – 12 midnite | Arrive at the club
12 – 3 am | Party like its 1999
3:30am | Patronize local 24 hour diner or late night eatery for breakfast
Well, throw your typical itinerary out of the window. The good folks over at UpScale Marketing and Promotions are bringing something new to the city of Indianapolis. Instead, imagine if your Saturday went a little something like this:
2pm | “Pre-party”
4-8pm | Party like its 1999
9pm | Dinner with old friends and the new ones you made during the day’s festivities
The “day party” concept has become a summertime staple in other major cities like Atlanta and Houston. Indianapolis, now it’s your turn! This Saturday, enjoy the sounds of DJ Metrognome and DJ Kenny Kixx on the patio over at 300 East. Free food will be served and admission is also FREE! The forecast is looking promising. So, from 3-8pm, come on out and party the day away!
Last week, we sat down with DJ Metrognome to talk about his current and upcoming projects. For those that don’t know, Metrognome will be providing the soundtrack this Saturday for Up Close and Personal. He’ll be DJing for the first part of the night. Dress light; you’re guaranteed to sweat. So, over Front Page burgers (…a veggie burger for him), we also talked about how he got hip to Eric Roberson and what a show like this means to Indianapolis.
